Origin, the leading
British manufacturer and home brand, is launching its second product of 2018 –
the Origin French Window.
Exclusively available on the OW-80 (Premium Window)
system, it features a completely unique internal and external flush casement
and a floating mullion, which offers homeowners completely unobstructed
views.
This means that when homeowners open both the left and
right windows, there’s no profile left in the way, therefore providing any
property with an effortlessly elegant finish, without relenting on safety. When
open, not only does it remove all sightlines, offering unhindered views of the
property’s surroundings, but it is also a great choice for windows that need to
meet egress requirements.

With energy efficiency increasingly appearing on
homeowners’ and homebuyers’ checklists, the Origin French Window can be
upgraded with Aerogel, which has the lowest thermal conductivity of any known
solid. By using just 10mm of it in the thermal break, it can boost the window’s
thermal efficiency by up to 67 percent, deliver a ground-breaking A++ energy
rating and result in a certified 0.9 U-Value. The window also combines a
polyamide thermal break within the aluminium profile, meaning it not only meets
thermal efficiency building regulations, but exceeds them.
The attention to performance is matched by high levels
of security, as every window is installed with Yale’s highly dependable
Encloser Lock, featuring bi-directional locking technology. The French window
makes use of the highest grade stainless steel hinges, capable of carrying
heavy loads, exceeding way above the standardised 50,000 cycle test required
for residential windows. Hinge guards are also installed as standard,
protecting the hinges, as well as stopping intruders.

The Origin French Window is PAS24 accredited and
features an espagnolette-style handle. This works in conjunction with Yale’s
industry-leading Encloser locking system, ensuring that the system is
ultra-secure.
