its stunning countryside position with Phantom's automated screens.
Our customer's window company recommended Phantom Screens during the
build-phase to help solve solar management and privacy needs. The
recommendation was made at exactly the right stage in the build process,
meaning our screens could be fully recessed to disappear from view when
not in use. Their discreet nature ensures they do not impact on
architectural design and allow maximum light to enter the space.
Mixed Benefits
Initially, the property owners were looking for solid blinds but were
unable to find them in the right sizes to span the large expanse of
glass. They now have three 90% block Phantom screens and one black-out
screen, enabling solar control, summer ventilation, day time privacy and
insect protection.
The screens create an external mirror effect during the day meaning
any onlookers are unable to view inside the property. The technical
fabric also blocks 90% of the sun's rays, protecting occupants from
glare and reducing sun-bleaching on internal fabrics and furnishings.
Automated Function with Light Sensors
The screens are connected to a light sensor that allows them to
self-adjust depending on the time of year and on daily sunlight levels.
When the sun reaches a certain level of brightness, the screens will
automatically close, maintaining a consistent light level and helping to
manage temperature gain. A wireless wall switch is fitted to the
outside of the property that allows occupants to control the screens if
they close while outside.

1 x 1.9m wide, 1 x 4.1 m wide and 1 x 1.7m wide all fitted with 75/10
solar mesh (10% open) and with RAL 7016 colour-matched drop bars.
One bespoke blackout blind 1.4m wide.
