Marley has welcomed revisions to BS 5534 which have seen it being updated to include the new BS 8612 Dry Fix Standard.
Stuart Nicholson, roof systems director at Marley, comments: “This is the second amendment to BS 5534 since major revisions were introduced in 2014.
"We were expecting to see the inclusion of the new Dry Fix Standard, but it also includes further changes, particularly addressing some concerns about the application of roof underlays. It is important that roofing contractors and specifiers are aware of the extent of the revisions.”

BS 5534:2014 + A2:2018 was published on 28 February 2018, with a four month transition period and will be effective from July 1 2018
