The
Actis Hybrid insulation range, which is already approved by the NHBC, has added
two further warranty providers to its stable of accreditations.
The
three products in the range – honeycomb insulation Hybris, insulating vapour
control layer HControl Hybrid and insulating breather membrane Boost’R Hybrid –
have all been accepted by both the LABC and Premier Guarantee.
The
acceptance means all products will be accepted, when used according to the
certification, by builders, specifiers and architects using the new build
warranties issued by the NHBC, LABC or Premier Guarantee.
All
three warranties offer 10 years protection for new home owners against
structural defects.
The
NHBC Buildmark warranty covers around 80% of new and newly converted homes in
the UK.
The
CE marked Actis Hybris products also have LABC registered details and LABSS
accreditation, which means they can be automatically accepted by all local
authorities in England, Scotland and Wales.
Actis
UK and Ireland technical director Thomas Wiedmer explained: “Actis Hybrid
products have had NHBC acceptance, LABC and LABSSregistered details for some
time.
"We
have been increasingly asked whether we comply with other new build warranty
providers and, while the NHBC is the best known and most commonly used, 20 per
cent of new homes are covered by different providers. This new stamp of
approval will make it even easier for builders to obtain easy acceptance and be
confident that Actis Hybrid products are fully compliant.”
