Leading mouldings manufacturer, The W.Howard Group has supplied a range
of MDF mouldings solutions for an exciting residential renovation project in the
North West, called The Chapel Apartments. During the restoration and
redevelopment of the historic Wesleyan Methodist Chapel School, an interesting
discovery was made by unearthing a time capsule dating back to 1906.
Located in the picturesque village of Astley Green where the business
is based, the Chapel Apartments project has seen sister company, W.Howard
Investments transform the Chapel School into six high specification apartments
and one Mews home.
Providing finishes that would be sympathetic to the design of the
conversion and complimentary to many of the building's original features,
W.Howard manufactured and supplied skirtings and architraves in its white KOTA
products as well as its American Black Walnut veneered skirtings and
architraves.
Speaking about the project, W.Howard's Group Chief Executive, Jonathan
Grant said: "It has been great to be involved in such a heritage project here on
our doorstep. The new Chapel Apartments provide unique, high quality
accommodation whilst the design has retained many of the building's original
features - internally with the beams and window frames to externally through the
treatment of existing brickwork.
"The team has done a fantastic job in returning it to its former
glory."
Located within easy reach of Manchester City Centre, Salford Media City
and Liverpool, the apartments also benefit from views across open countryside
and tranquil surroundings. They are located close to the picturesque Bridgewater
Canal and the popular canal-side pub, Old Boat House.
