The event will include special guest speaker Dennis Milligan from the Stove Industry Alliance (SIA) - the trade body for the wood-burning stove industry - revealing what you need to know about Ecodesign 2022.
The free-to-attend event takes place between 4pm and 6pm at Specflue's state-of-the-art facility in Sudbury, Suffolk, and will also provide a not-to-be-missed opportunity for installers, chimney sweeps, retailers, specifiers, architects and local authority building control officers to tour Specflue's high-tech training facilities and meet HETAS representatives.
Specflue offers a comprehensive suite of HETAS training courses for solid fuel, wood and biomass, specifically designed for installers, chimney sweeps, retailers, specifiers, local authorities, building control officers and those involved in the wood fuel supply chain.
The stove industry's main suppliers, including Specflue, have pledged to ensure that all newly-designed wood-burning stove models will meet European environmental standards for particulate emissions, which are not due to be enforced until 2022.
However, the SIA has committed its members to start meeting these stringent new green laws ahead of schedule. This includes the launch of a new ‘SIA Ecodesign-ready' stamp. Mr Milligan will explain this and other aspects of Ecodesign 2022 in greater detail at Specflue's must-see event.
