Leading ventilation manufacturer EnviroVent has launched a versatile alternative to its ECO dMEV fan: the ECO dMEV LC.
The new decentralised Mechanical Extraction Ventilation (dMEV) fan offers greater versatility, with the option of either operating as a decentralised MEV or as an extractor fan to meet System 1 or System 3 of Building Regulations Part F.

This latest unit is ideal for wet rooms within the house, effectively removing humidity and creating a healthier indoor environment.”
The unit features the same compact design and striking aesthetics for which the original ECO dMEV unit is renowned and has four interchangeable front panel trims.
A continuously running extract fan, the ECO dMEV LC is ideal for bathrooms, kitchens or utility rooms and can be fitted in wall, ceiling or panel installations. It is available in five innovative models including humidity sensing and PIR detection. For extra safety, the fan also comes in a low voltage 17V version.
It is fitted with a DC motor, which is mounted on silent elastic blocks and the fan delivers silent running below 20 dB(A), with exceptional performance and stylish features. As a dMEV it is fully compliant with System 3 of Building Regulations, Part F and SAP Appendix Q eligible with a Specific Fan Power as low as 0.25 W/l/s The intelligent constant volume technology allows the fan to sense any resistance in the ductwork and automatically adjusts the airflow rate to meet always ensure that the commissioned airflow is delivered.
The ECO dMEV LC offers easy maintenance and very low life cycle costs. The fan can be commissioned to be set at one of five trickle speed settings, ranging from 4-13 l/s to exactly meet the airflow requirements for specific applications and ensure the lowest energy consumption down to 1.5 Watts. It can also be easily switched to an extractor fan setting to meet System 1 of the Building Regulations Part F.
As well as offering MEV systems, EnviroVent offers a range of Positive Input Ventilation (PIV), and Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery (MVHR) solutions to the new build and refurbishment sectors.
