Intastop, a leading innovator and manufacturer of products for the protection of doors, people and places, will be showcasing its range of products and solutions, on stand 114, at this year’s Design In Mental Health Conference on 16-17 May at the National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham.
“This year we will be featuring our new Secura™Stop Multilock and our popular and acclaimed Door Top Alarm,” said Marie Hanby, marketing manager at Intastop. “Both are unique solutions for mental health facilities that aid in the protection of both staff and patients.”
Both products, along with a range of others, will be on show enabling visitors to see and experience the quality and engineering that has been fundamental to Intastop’s success in the healthcare market.
The acclaimed Door Top Alarm, which is already proving to be an essential element in the prevention of suicides from door tops across Trusts in the UK, has also been adopted by facilities in the USA. “It is an exciting time for the Door Top Alarm,” said Marie.
“We developed this a couple of years ago now in response to customer requirements, they no longer wanted to alter the door or remove it all together as the privacy for a patient was paramount to their treatment, yet safety could not be compromised. This resulted in the research, engineering, testing and ultimately development of one of our most innovative products. We are delighted this has now been recognised as a trusted solution in mental health care facilities both here in the UK and now the US.”
In addition, the Secura™Stop Multilock, the latest product to be developed by the company, will be featured on stand too. This unique removable doorstop provides just one secure point of operation which permits extremely quick access (less than 5 seconds) into a room in the event of a barricade situation.
“An exhibition is a great way to highlight our new products whilst showing how our existing range can be incorporated into new builds or retro-fit,” continued Marie. “We are pleased to be able to have doorsets on stand to allow visitors to get hands on and see how we can help keep their buildings and people safe.”
