No Need For The Five Second rule With John Lord Antimicrobial Flooring

Latest News Wed, Mar 22, 2017 9:36 AM

The five second rule has always been questioned whether it is true or a myth, a saying that have been used to justify eating food from the floor. It is recommended to not eat food you have dropped on the floor even it is for five seconds, although some believe there is no harm in a little dirt. It all comes down to bacteria contaminating the food, it is harder for dry food to harbor bacteria whereas wet food it is a lot easier.

Food that has been dropped on the floor with probably not cause any harm to our bodies but it is not entirely risk free. We only need to consume 0.1% bacteria to make us unwell, bacteria can double and multiply within four to twenty minutes. In result John Lord can provide a long lasting hygienic solution, we can ensure and prove that our antimicrobial resin flooring can resist the growth of bacteria. In result we can provide a flooring so hygienic you can practically eat of it!

Our treated flooring containing BioCote Technology, is able to achieve up to a 99.99% reduction in bacteria, mould and microbes, as measured by the Standard Test ISO:22196. Bacteria is not something you can physically see unlike dirt or grime, so our treated resin provides a second layer of defence for those concerned with hygiene.
