Wienerberger, the UK’s leading provider of wall, roof and landscaping innovations has launched an all-new tool to assist landscape architects looking to mix pavers on commercial projects – providing more design freedom than ever before.
The mix and texture generator is available online to assist with design ideas and provide inspiration – allowing landscape architects to establish concepts and achieve a visual representation of the end result.
By giving architects the opportunity to mix up to five pavers together at a chosen percentage for each product, the generator is able to produce a completely bespoke mix. Users can also choose from six different laying patterns, with the end result being an automatically generated image showcasing the finished effect.
In addition, the tool generates a BIM texture from the desired mix to add into designs, allowing the chosen pavers to be integrated with the entire urban landscape at this stage, rather than being seen as an individual design element. Finally, architects are then able to order their chosen blend directly through the tool, making the process of specification far simpler.
Joanne Roberts, Category Marketing Manager for Paving at Wienerberger, commented: "Our easy to access, simple to use tool provides landscape architects with a great new resource when in need of inspiration when it comes to the design of a project.
"Designing outdoor spaces today goes far beyond the flat surface, and with five of our Dutch and German pavers available for use, along with laying patterns including 90°herringbone, 45°herringbone, stretcher bond, basket weave, stack bond and random stretcher bond, the user can create a realistic vision of the project even before the first brick is laid."
