The Home Building Skills Partnership has published an online questionnaire to aid it in its mission to identify the key training and skills requirements for the industry and bring measures to meet them.
HBF members are invited to complete the short survey which will allow the HBSP to gather baseline information so it can “prioritise action and subsequently monitor success against these priorities,” said the HBF, one of the HBSP partners alongside the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB), NHBC, Federation of Master Builders (FMB) and a number of developers, housebuilders and supply chain companies.

The questionnaire has been devised by Skyblue Research which will assist the HBSP with monitoring and evaluating its work. “The survey responses will go through to Skyblue, who will fully respect confidentiality and aggregate the results to inform the decisions taken by the Partnership,” HBF said.
The HBSP will accept either single corporate or group responses “or responses from the business unit level depending on preferences”.
Members should complete the survey by the end of August 19.
The HBSP is a £2.7 million initiative under which more than 45,000 new workers will be trained in the housebuilding industry by 2019. HBF said that the aim was to “focus on priorities that are of common interest to companies and to promote collaborative solutions that all can benefit from.”
