Leading ventilation manufacturer EnviroVent has launched the Fast Track Range of semi rigid ducting offering the complete solution for energy efficient, airtight and rapid install ducting.
A comprehensive portfolio of ductwork and component parts, the Fast Track Range can be installed quickly and easily, even by less experienced installers.
The new Fast Track Range of Semi-Rigid Ducting is available in various circular and semi-circular dimensions. All ductwork can connect to one universal distribution box by use of adapters. There are three sizes of ducting to suit domestic and small non-domestic systems. The air distribution boxes meet with Airtightness Class C (EN 12237) and provide easy post-installation access to restrictors and for maintenance. Semi rigid ducting outperforms flexible ducting as it maintains a fixed diameter for air flow by avoiding ‘slump’. When this occurs in flexible ducting, it can restrict air flow as well as resulting in a pooling of condensation in the pipework.
Rory Percival, Technical Manager at EnviroVent, said: “Flexible ducting, as well as poor quality connectors, are responsible for a high percentage of issues with ventilation systems. To meet demand, we introduced our own range to make it easier for specifiers and installers to choose high quality ducting that offers long term performance over the lifetime of the building. Installers will find it extremely user-friendly, resulting in a more efficient system and with far less maintenance issues in the future. It will also provide specifiers and building owners with greater piece of mind as they will be confident that the ventilation system is performing as it should for the long term.”
When ducting is selected and installed correctly, it can improve and prolong the efficiency of the whole system, leading to long term low maintenance. On the other hand, a ventilation system that has issues with the ducting, which can range from ‘slump’ of flexible types, through to inadequate jointing mechanisms, is always going to underperform. Poorly installed duct work can potentially damage the ventilation unit and the fabric of the building. Indeed, an NHBC (National Housebuilding Council) report from 2013 demonstrated how poorly installed systems have a negative effect on indoor air quality and the effectiveness of MVHR systems.
EnviroVent provides a comprehensive choice of energy efficient and sustainable ventilation products. The company prides itself on manufacturing the Lifetime Range products at its factory in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, which in turn supports the local economy and the UK manufacturing industry.
Within its Lifetime range is a comprehensive selection of heat recovery, positive input ventilation (PIV), mechanical extract ventilation, mechanical ventilation with heat recovery systems and extract fans, to suit a wide range of applications.
At the core of EnviroVent's philosophy lies the commitment to design innovative products that are not only energy efficient but save its customers money in long-term maintenance costs.
