Grant Westfield’s distinguished ‘Concept to Completion’ has helped to secure high-end clients, such as L’Oréal, Sainsbury’s, and a number of the major UK airports.
Through providing top-tier solutions and the capacity to produce outstanding BIM ready designs, the company has secured its place at the forefront of the washroom industry.
With over 130 years of experience in the field of manufacturing for building interiors, Grant Westfield has strived to create innovative practices and administer specialist tools, resulting in continued growth and development for the Edinburgh based company.
To showcase their concept to completion Grant Westfield have created a fantastic animation, in conjunction with the construction research team based at Edinburgh Napier University, which takes you through the full turnkey service. BIM, Design, Manufacture, Install, Product Life, and Maintain.
The first step, ‘BIM’, provides architects / contractors with the capability to manufacture straight from the design and work with confidence at every stage of a project. ‘Design’, relates to Grant Westfield’s full design service across product ranges which includes CAD drawings and BIM models. ‘Manufacture’ refers to the company’s extensive product development and testing which uses the industry’s most advanced technologies.
‘Install’ cites Grant Westfield’s dedicated experts that pay close attention to detail to ensure that projects are delivered in a timely, safe, professional manner. ‘Product Life’ highlights one of the company’s differentiators, lifetime cost of ownership. As aesthetics and hardware become dated with the advances of technology, Grant Westfield is refreshing the appearance of systems installed in the last century to cut client’s OpEX costs by six figures. Lastly, ‘Maintain’ specifies the company’s after sales follow up, advice and checks to ensure that products continue to perform at an optimum level.
Sean Smith who is Professor of Construction Innovation at Edinburgh Napier University stated, “It’s been a real pleasure for our construction research team to engage in the development of these leading edge products and systems. Grant Westfield is a pioneering UK company with international outreach and has innovation within its DNA. This approach creates a strong partnership allowing us to apply our latest knowledge to support the development of their next generation products.”
