Security specialist Yale has launched a range of door closers to complement its product portfolio, providing a total solution for ease of specification.
Designed to meet the most popular requirements in the UK market, Yale’s new CE marked door closers will retro-fit many existing closers and cater for all types of use, from light duty internal doors to heavy duty external doors.
The range consists of a fixed sized 3 closer, a template adjustable size 2-4 closer, a variable adjustable size 2-4 closer and a variable adjustable size 2-6 closer. When installed in size 3 application (or above power size) all closers in the range are suitable for use on fire doors, providing a solution for both residential doors and social housing.
The Yale 3000 is a fixed size 3 closer, suitable for medium duty internal doors where no adjustment is required, whereas the Yale 4000 door closer is a template adjustable size 2-4 and is capable of closing different sizes of doors by adjusting the position of the closer on the door.
The Yale 5000 is a variable adjustable size 2-4, and can close different sizes of doors by adjusting the spring tension on the door, and the Yale 7000 covers the broadest range of sizes (from size 2-6), making it suitable for light and heavy duty applications depending on the chosen power size.
Both the Yale 5000 and 7000 door closers also have built in pressure relief valves, and the 7000 has a back check function which gives a cushioning effect to help prevent damage to a person, the door, and the adjoining door structure, if the door is thrown or blown open.
