The future of education architecture

In today’s tough economic climate the education sector is being placed under immense pressure when it comes to sourcing cost effective building solutions for renovation and development projects. In recent years a surge in graffiti, anti-social behaviour and general vandalism to education buildings has led to significant damage, often resulting in hefty repair and cleaning bills. Those responsible for managing budgets are faced with difficult decisions: How can we protect our school buildings? Should we invest in advanced monitoring technology... and what impact will that have on our already tight funds? How can we adhere to the stringent health and safety legislations and ensure the welfare of our students?...

Dealing with such issues is no easy feat for existing schools, who simply can’t continue to spend so much every year on reparation and protective measures. Of course, in certain circumstances, it may well be that these buildings are naturally reaching an age where they need to be renovated - perhaps to meet energy performance requirements. Whatever the reason, it’s in these situations when FunderMax Exterior comes into its own. Highly cost effective, and extremely durable, these high pressure laminate panels offer the same aesthetic appeal (if not even moreso) of the many cementitious boards which are on the market - however, they have a distinctive and unique advantage - they have a higher level of impact resistance and can be easily cleaned if they happen to be subjected to graffiti. Something which a cementatious board, by its very nature, is unable to offer.

Available in a newly extended range of finishes, including 'Solid' and 'Urban' printed décors, and Individual Decor - which enables architects and designers the opportunity to project their brand identity onto the facade of the building, and inject creative flare into their project - this intelligent rainscreen cladding could well be the future of the urban education landscape. Whether it’s a totally natural finish which blends with an existing build, or a fusion between old and new builds, this advanced HPL is the ideal solution. Highly effective and quick installation also means Max Exterior is perfect when time is limited.
