Marley is bringing back its Acme Double Camber clay plain tile in Natural Orange, following growing demand from specifiers in the UK.
As the only manufacturer of double camber clay tiles, Marley’s Natural Orange Acme tile will be unique in the market, adding to the other four colours already available in the range, with a wide selection of traditional fittings and accessories for complete design flexibility.
A number of house builders had been calling for the return of the Natural Orange colour, which is often used as a contrasting tile or for vertical detailing, particularly in the South East. As well as the rich colour, the distinctive double curve of the Acme tile gives designers the opportunity to create highly textured roofscapes with accentuated light and shade.
Sarah Jackson, marketing product manager from Marley explains: “The requests we have received from house builders to bring back the Acme Natural Orange tile show there is a real gap in the market for this versatile product. There aren’t many clay tiles of this colour available and we are the only manufacturer who specialises in offering the double camber format.
“The double camber adds a subtle texture to the roof so the tiles are popular with house builders who are trying to create a more rustic aesthetic on new properties, or for those who want to match in with existing tiles on extensions or refurbishment projects. The orange colour also makes it very popular for creative roof detailing such as vertical tiling and feature tiles.”
The Acme Double Camber clay plain tile range is now available in five colours - Antique, Burnt Flame, Dark Brindle, Smooth Brindle and the new Natural Orange.
The Acme clay plain tile range offers impressive environmental credentials including the ability to achieve an A+ rating in the BRE Green Guide to Specification, BES 6001 Responsible Sourcing accreditation and certified carbon footprint data at product level.
