Johnstone’s Trade has played its part in creating a colourful, cutting-edge concept store in Liverpool.
The Rex Store, located just off Basnett Street in the city centre, offers a unique experience to shoppers by hosting a collective of artists, independent retailers and designers who sell items such as art, homeware, gifts, furniture and whole foods.
The expertise of Johnstone’s colour advisory team, PPG Extra, played a key role in the success of the project, enabling staff at the store to realise their colourful and creative vision. Numerous swatch charts and colour pots were provided for the staff, who carried out the decoration themselves.
Johnstone’s Acrylic Durable Matt, which was used throughout the store in a range of colours, was the ideal choice for a busy retail environment as it creates a highly durable finish that provides superb scrubbability and abrasion resistance. It’s also fast drying, meaning the store staff could get the job done as quickly as possible before opening to the public.
The store’s artistic ambience was aided by the use of Johnstone’s Quick Dry Matt Blackboard Paint, allowing customers and staff alike to draw eye-catching designs in certain areas.
