Schlüter-Systems has made its mark at the home of England Rugby - the world famous Twickenham Stadium.
The tile and stone solutions expert picked the historic stadium as the exciting venue for a unique two-day event.
The interactive workshop saw an invited list of over 40 architects, specifiers, project managers and tile contractors attend from across the south of England to try their hand at assembling an entire wetroom and underfloor heating area using stand out systems and solutions products from Schlüter’s extensive range, including preparation tile backerboard Schlüter®-KERDI-BOARD, underfloor heating system Schlüter®-DITRA-HEAT and CE marked wetroom system solutions such as Schlüter®-KERDI-LINE, Schlüter®-KERDI-DRAIN and Schlüter®-KERDI-SHOWER.
The unique event also showed attendees how to avoid cracking and movement in tiles by using guaranteed uncoupling solutions, such as Schlüter®-DITRA 25 which has been tried, tested and trusted since 1975.
Perfect for those looking to stay one step ahead of the competition, the event was organised to educate and enhance professionals’ knowledge as well as introduce and update existing and potential customers on Schlüter’s integrated product range.
Ian Knifton, Head of Technical and Training at Schlüter-Systems Ltd, commented, “We designed the Innovation Event to help update and develop participants’ knowledge and allow them to share in discussion and better understand skills, as well as to make our products more accessible to those who may have heard of us, and some of our products, but not specified or used us before.
“The event helped attendees to find out about the broader range of our 10,000 products, realise how easy it is to work with our products and discover what it is about us that gains us so many industry recommendations.”
The workshop kicked off with an evening drinks reception in the exclusive and historically adorned council room, followed by a three course meal over-looking the hallowed turf of England Rugby.
After breakfast the following morning, guests received an introduction, which explained more about Schlüter-Systems as a company, its ethos and product portfolio, before the event moved onto focus on Schlüter®-WETROOMS, Schlüter®-UNDERFLOOR-HEATING and Schlüter®-DITRA.
The second half of the event allowed attendees, working in teams, to get hands-on with Schlüter’s products to create a full wetroom area with underfloor heating and compete for a prize. The speed and high quality of installation was so good on the day that the judges had to select the winning team via a draw. The event ended with an exclusive, all access tour of the world famous Twickenham Stadium, including pitch and England Team dressing room.
