EOS Facades has been selected as finalists of not one, but three East Midlands Celebrating Construction Awards.
EOS have been shortlisted for the following categories - ‘Innovation Award', ‘Value Award' and ‘BIM Project of the Year' for their contribution to ‘The Barn, University of Nottingham.'
The Barn was created in response to the University of Nottingham's 2008 masterplan for the 100-acre Sutton Bonington campus - to establish a new amenities building which would unite the previously separate student and staff facilities so that are accessible under one roof, improving the user's experience.
EOS Facades were appointed as the steel framing systems (SFS) supplier for the project - this included a comprehensive design package and the manufacture and supply SFS.
Throughout the project, EOS Facades took every step possible to innovate and add real value. They significantly reduced programme times through offsite manufacturing, ensured the block was value-engineered from blockwork to steel framing systems and ensured the frame was weather-tight to allow for follow on trades to move onto site faster. EOS worked with the project delivery team throughout the process to ensure The Barn was delivered to the highest standard.
