Astounding Interiors and GNS Solid Surfaces have fabricated and installed Corian from CD UK in a unique scheme for a residential client in Kent.
This discerning client's vision was for a large kitchen without corners, in a design that would be original and distinctive, luxurious for entertaining and family dining. Lighting was an important feature of the scheme and the kitchen was linked to the home entertainment hub.
Practicality was not to be sacrificed. All the time-saving gadgets of a modern kitchen were incorporated, including two Corian Avante sinks in Designer White Corian with stainless-steel bases, insinkerator and instant boiling water tap.
The Corian Designer White bespoke worktop in a figure of eight design, with kidney-shaped cutout for the hob was fabricated by the experienced team at GNS and teamed with Hanak Elite seven coat white high-gloss kitchen units. Wider than standard sheets, the worktops had to be factory joined and thermoformed to achieve the curves and seamless flow of the design concept.
Other highlights of the scheme, which was part of an extensive remodelling at the property, included a real leather metallic bespoke padded wall, Italian rectified porcelain tiles, Italian 10mm thick recycled glass mosaic tiles and a stainless steel red and white temperature controlled wine chiller.
