AluK, a headline sponsor at this year’s inaugural Building Live conference held on 26th November in London, will bring its BIM expertise to the fore, participating in the Building Live panel, ‘BIM: Practical Realities and the Future of BIM’.
BIM is now a key driver in the construction supply chain as building projects become more complex and technically demanding. Graham Roche, National Architectural Manager at AluK, will speak on the Building Live panel where he will share some of AluK’s experiences with BIM, as well as the challenges and opportunities BIM adoption presents to businesses.
Russell Yates, Managing Director at AluK comments: “We were the first manufacturer to be approved for the RIBA CPD network with a seminar on BIM in 2013. Since then, we have grown and developed our BIM resource and expertise, presenting seminars and talks to CIAT members, architecture and building surveyor university students, and at the BIM Show Live for the past two years. Taking part in the panel discussion is the perfect opportunity to add to the debate and to help support the architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) industry to deliver its projects efficiently.”
AluK has been involved in producing BIM content for over 2 years. More recently, it has invested substantially in BIM resource within the business and now has the ability to create its own in-house content, gaining more control of how the information is produced, what information is generated and the ability to keep data up to date.
Russell Yates continues: “In the collaborative spirit of BIM, we want to share our expertise and best practice in this area with those in attendance. The conference also gives us the perfect platform to engage with leading figures in the construction industry through the various networking opportunities. We look forward to the other panel discussions as they consider some of the most pressing topics in construction and the future of the industry; from the housing crisis, education and infrastructure to commercial development and BIM.”
AluK will exhibit on Stand 7, where the 500 delegates in attendance can find out more information about the company, its products and BIM.
