Xtratherm, a leading manufacturer of high quality PIR and phenolic foam insulation, strengthened its close relationship with The Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists (CIAT), by sponsoring two of their recent events.
The first was the AGM which marked another successful year for CIAT and culminated in a Dinner Dance held in the newly built Titanic building in Belfast.
Following a civic reception hosted by the High Sheriff Alderman May Campbell, CIAT presented its annual Awards. Over 300 guests attended from across the construction industry including VIPs Dame Mary Peters, Lord Lieutenant of Belfast, and Sammy Wilson MP.
Xtratherm was also the main sponsor of CIAT’s recent Northern Ireland (Region 15) CPD seminar on the upcoming changes to the NI Building Regulations, held at Belfast’s brand new Metropolitan Arts Centre (MAC). The event was oversubscribed with over 70 members and guests in attendance.
Danny Kearney, Xtratherm’s Group Technical Manager, gave a detailed presentation on the specific changes to ‘Part F – Conservation of Fuel and Power in Buildings, October 2012’.
