Leading pump manufacturer Wilo UK has been granted CEMARS certification after a gruelling eighteen month process to achieve this exacting carbon reduction certification.
CEMARS certified organisations have measured their organisation’s greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in accordance to ISO 14064–1, so they understand what their impact is on the global climate. They then make a commitment to managing and reducing their GHG emissions by creating an emissions management and reduction plan.
The GHG emissions included in the organisations measurement include all Scope 1 (direct emissions, such as company owned vehicles), Scope 2 (indirect emissions, such as purchased electricity) and mandatory Scope 3 emissions (indirect emissions that are not directly under the organisations control, such as employee business travel).
The organisation measurement focuses more on the business as a whole and does not extend significantly along the product supply chain.
