Unite Modular Solutions Ltd has produced a new RIBA Approved Continuing Professional Development (CPD) seminar designed to expand on the benefits and address some of the common misconceptions of volumetric modular construction.
UMS is an industry leader in off-site volumetric construction and the new CPD, entitled ‘Buildings Not Boxes’, will provide architects and specifiers with valuable information on the flexibility of design offered by this form of construction and will examine why it doesn’t have to stifle architectural creativity and flair.
An area that is looked at in detail is the environmental credentials of volumetric modular construction and how the high levels of automation that are used ensure that the process is more efficient and significantly less wasteful than those used in other forms of construction.
The CPD also examines how on-site practices compare to those in other forms of construction and will provide architects and specifiers with an important insight about appropriate projects which are suited to volumetric modular construction and why it is crucial not to force fit a solution.
Architects and specifiers wishing to take advantage of this new CPD material should e-mail Mike Duhig mike.duhig@unite-group.co.uk or Martin Irvine martin.irvine@unite-group.co.uk
