Leading builders merchant Travis Perkins has announced the roll out of its dedicated tool hire brand ‘Hire It’ to 16 branches located throughout the North of England.
The chosen trade counters, which previously offered a hire service, will now benefit from a wider portfolio of high quality tools, supported by the industry expertise of the specially appointed Hire It team. This strategic move follows in depth customer research to find out what is expected from a tool and equipment hire supplier.
The results showed that tradesmen want a dedicated hire offering with specialist staff and equipment on hand when they need it. ‘Hire It’ offers this service to customers whilst having the additional advantage of being located in a Travis Perkins branch.

The investment in this trial was born out of a growing demand for a more robust service which provides customers with access to top quality equipment without the long term financial investment.
From decorating, drilling and sawing tools to earth moving, concreting and powered access solutions, the Hire It counters have been designed to be as convenient as possible, whilst delivery to site is also an option thanks to the distinctive red and black vans.
