New Combi biomass boiler burns logs and pellets

New from Thermal Earth is a combined biomass boiler able to burn both split logs and wood pellets.

This innovative wood and pellet boiler is made by the established Slovakian company Attack which has now manufactured and sold half a million products around the world.

With a large 160 litre feeding chamber, this biomass boiler can automatically change from wood burning to pellet burning and can accept logs up to 560mm long.  It has a generous heat output of 25kW using wood and 30kW when burning pellets and can continuously burn at full output for 6 hours.

The Attack combined biomass boiler is ideal for residential or commercial heating and can integrate with underfloor heating, radiators, domestic hot water and solar thermal.  The boiler features a 5.7” touch screen display with graphical read-out and an option allows control via PC or Smartphone.
With a fully automatic burner, the boiler has high combustion efficiency of 92.2% from wood and 93.8% with pellets.  This is achieved through a vertical tubular exchanger with large heat exchange area with a lambda probe and special automatically moved turbulators.

Once the logs in the wood chamber have burnt out, the boiler automatically starts the pellet burning process to provide continuous heating.  The boilers feature an inbuilt vacuum system as standard to suck pellets from hand filling or bulk storage.

Made to extremely high quality standards, the boiler body is made from 6mm steel for long life; the burner is made from best quality refractory steel; the refractory concrete parts are reinforced; and the nozzle is treated by a special refractory cast iron to prolong the boiler’s life.  The turbulator and pellet combustion chambers are cleaned automatically.

The Attack combined boiler carries several safety features to safeguard against overheating including an emergency thermostat, an integrated after-cooling circuit, electronic warning signals and an electrical lock on the main door.
