The Portman Estate submit plans to develop a ‘townhouse’ hotel in Portman Village, with award winning Zetter Group

Thursday February 23rd 2012, London - The Portman Estate has submitted a planning application for the redevelopment of a proposed hotel at 28-30 Seymour Street, Portman Village, London, W1. This application is in conjunction with The Zetter Group as the Estate’s preferred hotelier, to deliver an exciting ‘Georgian Townhouse’ hotel concept.

The building is located on Seymour Street between the junction of New Quebec Street and Great Cumberland Place.  It is in a prime location for hotel use and has existing hotel consent.  

The proposed development, subject to gaining the relevant planning consent, will contribute to the vitality and long-term future of Portman Village and the overall Estate hotel offer.  It will add a new dimension and finesse to Portman Village. In line with The Portman Estate’s management strategy, the scheme would sit well within their overall urban regeneration and enhancement strategy. Through continued maintenance and creation of high quality buildings, The Portman Estate continues to conserve the unique character of the area and ensure that the buildings meet the demands of modern occupiers.
