The Climaveneta PRANA HT range will now set the standard for larger capacity heat pump installations. Capacities range from 25kW to 200kW but importantly this range is also capable of single controller operation for a package of up to four units allowing a nominal 800kW system to be easily specified and installed. The high temperature 65°C output temperature is a key feature of this range providing a heating or sanitary hot water output temperature of 65°C in ambient as low as -12°C. The minimum design temperature of this range is -20°C with a fully weather compensated heating output and 100% capacity prioritised sanitary hot water function.
THE NEXT GENERATION OF COMMERCIAL AIR SOURCE HEAT PUMPS
• It is easy to see why the PRANA HT range is set to become the market leader and is genuinely the first of the next generation of High Specification Commercial Air Source Heat Pumps which have been designed specifically for either the retrofit or new build sectors.
• The potential large cost and carbon savings that specifiers can achieve by recognising the practicality of High Temperature heat pumps make the PRANA HT an attractive alternative for commercial retrofit applications which may currently utilise Oil or LPG heating systems.
• Alternatively a specifier could apply the PRANA HT to a sanitary hot water application either as the prime heat source or by supplementing an existing system. Either method allows the specifier to achieve potential carbon & cost savings that would not have been achievable using a standard heating only medium temperature 45°C system.
• Fully optimised heat pump performance ensures that the unit provides maximum capacity at the varying operating temperatures required of a heat pump system. A minimum design operating condition of -20°C allows the heat pump to be specified for use as the prime heat source.
HEATING, SANITARY HOT WATER & OPTIONAL COOLING
“The retrofit market has to be approached on a practical level”, noted Gary Broadbent of ICS Heat Pump Technology,” one of the obvious areas to explore with regard to achieving significant carbon & cost reductions are existing buildings with high carbon fossil fuel heating or hot water boilers”. He continues,” these existing buildings need a realistic and simple to specify replacement heating solution that does not involve a large amount of remedial work on the radiator distribution system. High Temperature Heat Pumps can now provide options.
to the building operator or specifier who is looking to achieve potential cost savings along with significant reductions in carbon emissions”.
This is the reason why ICS Heat Pump Technology has put a great deal of development into bringing the Prana HT system to the market. Basically ICS Heat Pump Technology are telling us very clearly that heat pumps are now able to provide 100% of a buildings retrofit heating & hot water requirements with a 65°C output temperature.
This is definitely significant news as the new era of the CRC (Carbon Reduction Commitment) and Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) programme fast approaches, putting much greater focus on existing buildings and property.
But importantly the potential large cost and carbon savings that specifiers can achieve by recognising the practicality of High Temperature heat pumps make the PRANA HT an attractive alternative for commercial retrofit applications, which may currently utilise Oil or LPG heating systems.
