Organisers have announced details of the 2013 Eco Technology Show due to take place at The Brighton Centre on the 14th & 15th June next year.
The launch event, which was hosted at the Hove Kitchen in Hove, was attended by supporters, exhibitors, partners and council members.
The 2012 Eco Technology Show, which took place at the Amex Stadium in June this year, attracted more than 100 exhibitors, and was attended by some 800 companies and 3,000 members of the public.
The 2013 show will build on last year’s success with new innovations including a free conference to complement the speaker programme, new technologies and an interactive area.
Eco-Technology Show director Nicola Gunstone said: “We are thrilled to launch next year’s Eco Technology Show. We aim to build on the success of this year’s event and cement the region’s reputation as a vibrant marketplace for green research and development, innovation and technology.
“We have added a strong advisory board to the management function and have added new elements to the show, including a free conference to complement the seminar programme, new technologies and an interactive area, plus a series of green-themed fringe events to take place in the build-up to the show.”
“We would like to thank Brighton and Hove City Council for its continued support of the event.”
Caroline Lucas, MP for Brighton Pavilion, said: “Brighton and Hove has a well-earned reputation as one of the most ecologically conscious places in the country – and thanks to the city’s creative spirit and innovation, we’re already at the forefront of many rapidly advancing green industries and technologies.
“Building on the success of the first Eco Technology Show last year, the 2013 Show will be an excellent chance for businesses both locally and from across the UK to showcase the latest developments in green technologies, including in renewable energy and energy efficiency.”
Jason Kitcat, Leader of Brighton & Hove City Council, said: “The Eco Technology Show highlights the wealth of skill and talent in our city. The show helps our burgeoning eco businesses attract new investors and customers whilst putting the city on the map as a leading hub for eco and digital businesses."
Duncan Baker-Brown, Partner at BBM Architects, said: “While the coalition government delays on implementing green initiatives that could kickstart a genuine green economic recovery, Sussex has its own inspiring Green MP, a Green Council in Brighton & Hove and green business networks that will all get together again at the utterly brilliant Eco Tech Show."
