Certified to EN 14604:2005, the WST-630 is the very first 10-year sealed for life battery unit to feature Thermoptek technology and have wireless interlink capability.
The wireless interlink is really straight forward to operate and a “2-touch” system allows alarm units to be linked together in a matter of seconds.
Quick to link and easy to install, the low cost WST-630 eliminates the need to lift floorboards and carpets or channel out walls in order to run long interconnecting wires around the home, thereby minimising disruption and mess.
It is a system ideal for larger properties or premises where there are adjoining outbuildings and is particularly useful in premises hampered by concrete ceilings or in listed properties which don’t allow for alterations to the fabric of the building.
Each WST-630 can be interlinked into a single network of up to 50 alarms for complete protection. The network communicates by continuously sending and receiving wireless signals, otherwise known as a 'meshed network.'
When one alarm detects smoke the wireless module inside sends a radio frequency signal to all the connected alarms ensuring fast response times across the network.
Thermoptek technology combines the very latest in optical sensing with thermal enhancement, providing fast reaction to both slow smouldering and fast flaming fires in a single alarm. The technology constantly monitors for temperature changes and if a rate of temperature rise is detected the sensitivity of the alarm is increased, providing a quicker response time to both fire types.
This technology completely removes the confusion between fitting ionisation or optical technology around a home, making the initial specification and purchase choice a much easier one. Thermoptek is significantly less likely to produce nuisance alarms, which is so often the reason for people disabling detectors.
If in the event of an alarm being activated the “intelligent silence” feature (enabled by pressing the test/reset button on any alarm in the network) will silence all but the initiating alarm.
