Architectural glazing supplier Kawneer has launched a guide to its sliding door and window products.
A specifiers' guide for sliding solutions for architectural doors and windows is contained within a new brochure from leading aluminium systems supplier Kawneer.
The 16-page guide explains how Kawneer's sliding doors and windows match the requirements of a diverse range of new-build and refurbishment applications including residential, education, healthcare and commercial.
Kawneer's sliding solutions include the AA3720 folding/sliding door, AA®3572 lift/slide door, AA3110 horizontal sliding window and door, AA®3110HW healthcare window and AA3610 and AA3610LS vertical sliding windows.
The AA®3720 folding/sliding door, which is available in a range of configurations in either open-in or open-out variants, combines the highest levels of thermal and weathering performance at a competitive price.
The technology behind the AA3572 lift/slide door provides effortless operation and enables maximum panel sizes of up to 3m x 3m to give large, uninterrupted areas of glazing. It provides an ideal space-saving solution where safety is a priority and projecting swing doors undesirable.
The sister AA3110 horizontal sliding window and door and AA3110HW (Healthcare Window) were designed to provide maximum ventilation in applications including healthcare, the latter with three security levels specifically for mental healthcare environments.
Maximum ventilation was also the priority behind the development of the AA3610 and AA3610LS (Linked Sash) thermally-broken vertical sliding windows, with the latter offering a unique solution where the top and bottom sashes open simultaneously, making it particularly suitable for education and healthcare environments.
All of the products within Kawneer's sliding solutions range are powder-coated in-house as part of the company's single-source responsibility to ensure the highest quality finish.
As well as the different products available, Kawneer's sliding solutions brochure also introduces its sustainability credentials, network of approved specialist contractors, KIC (Kawneer Installation Certificate) course, and support for projects either via its team of architectural advisers or the architectural services team at the head office in Runcorn.
