Market leading PVC window and bespoke door manufacturer, The Litchfield Group, has launched a revolutionary window profile system with a 0.8 W/m2K U-Value.
The Sheerframe 8000 series offers industry leading thermal performance and energy efficiency, and includes several innovative design features.
The 8000 series windows are compatible with all levels of the code for sustainable homes up to and including Level 6, as well as Green Deal and Passivhaus requirements.
Featuring a highly efficient five-chamber profile system for improved insulation and strength, the PVC profiles minimise heat loss through the frame. Sheerframe’s innovative Thermlock reinforcement, a recycled PVC structural foam in the centre chamber, significantly increases thermal performance over steel and aluminium, and is also 35% stronger than aluminium on deflection strength, providing greater integrity and window security.
Sheerframe 8000 is designed with interchangeable beads of 28mm, 36mm and 44mm to accommodate either double or triple glazing.
The innovative Sheerframe 8000 profiles are made using 100% lead-free PVC and utilise calcium stabilisers. This results in an environmentally friendly, totally recyclable product.
A 23mm rebate on all sections of the profile improves weather performance by preventing water-leakage and protecting against extreme weather conditions.
The 8000 range includes casement and tilt-turn windows, outward and inward opening French doors, Bifold doors, and a high performance top-reversible system. A full range of extensions, bay details and ancillaries are also available to fit the system. The profiles come with an interchangeable contour or bevelled finish, in a comprehensive range of standard stock colours, including Oak, Rosewood, Cream, Anthracite Grey, and White Woodgrain.
The Litchfield Group, based in Derbyshire, manufactures and extrudes a range of energy efficient envelope products, providing homeowners and specifiers with Zero Carbon solutions that meet required Code for Sustainable Homes regulations.
The Group comprises Sheerframe PVC windows and doors, Masterdor bespoke door sets, and ICF Tech walls and basement systems.
