SFS intec will launch its specialist UK hinge range offering, at the only national trade show dedicated to the fenestration industry - the FiT Show.
The inaugural, three-day event will provide fabricators and installers with an opportunity to showcase their products, services and brands alongside the biggest names in glass and glazing.
Nigel Wood, Business Development Manager at SFS intec, said: “Hinge manufacturing has developed significantly over the years - driven by legislation, change in the product’s application and the requirement for more sophisticated and aesthetic designs. With over 50 years manufacturing experience, we recognise the importance of investment into research and development to ensure that our hinge range is of the highest performance.
“Compared with a standard flag hinge, we have totally redesigned the door hinge changing its shape, structure and properties in order to guarantee reduced installer maintenance, superior strength and security and improved aesthetic design.”
On stand at the FiT Show, SFS intec will showcase its Dynamic hinge range and JB-D bracket system for out-boarded windows.
Developed for PVC-U and twin rebated composite door-set installation, the Dynamic hinge range is backed by ACPO Secured by Design. Manufactured predominantly from steel rather than more common die cast production methods, Dynamic hinges enable easier compliance with Part M of the Building Regulations. They negate the need for add-on profiles thus maximising door opening widths for disabled access, whilst reducing material costs.
The hinge’s pin design provides unparalleled strength and security for triple, as well as double-glazed door sets. Available in a wide range of colours, the Dynamic hinge can be colour matched to suit any door and frame.
In addition, to cater for the growing demand in external insulation on homes and commercial builds, SFS intec has developed its innovative new JB-D® window bracket system. Designed to ensure the secure setting of windows over external insulation zones, the configuration counteracts the heavier loads imposed by triple glazed units, and is verified by IFT Rosenheim testing.
