Schueco Jansen exhibiting at Architect@Work

Leading steel systems supplier Schueco Jansen is exhibiting at Architect@Work, a specialist ‘contact days’ architectural event that takes place in London at the Earls Court Exhibition Centre on January 29-30 2014.

Visitors to the Schueco Jansen Stand will see systems that reflect the event’s emphasis on innovation, in particular the company’s Janisol Arte Renovation Window. This highly insulated window system, which won a Gold Medal for Innovation at Batimat 2011, combines a narrow face-width of just 25 mm or 40 mm with ‘U’ values as low as 1.6 W/m2K.

Similar in appearance to the slender Bauhaus-type glazing encountered in many older commercial and residential buildings, Janisol Arte has been approved by many local authority conservation officers as being suitable for use in Listed properties.

Also on show will be examples of VISS Ixtra, a range of laser-optimised structural profiles that can extend the architectural scope of Jansen’s tried-and-tested VISS steel façade system by enabling mullions to run continuously over more than one storey.

Jansen’s extensive security offering is represented by Janisol C4, a range of fire doors and screens offering a high level of fire-resistance, narrow sight-lines, large glazed areas and a wide variety of design options. All the systems meet relevant EN standards and achieve an EI90 fire rating.
