Sapa strengthens Dualframe Si range

Aluminium systems specialists Sapa Building System has added two new windows to its high performing Dualframe 75 Si range.

The Pivot and Reversible options have been introduced to complement the existing Dualframe 75 Si suite, to complete one of the most comprehensive and versatile ranges of windows on the market.

Both accept glazing up to 50mm and are compatible with the existing TBT and casement Dualframe Si windows as well as Sapa’s innovative NRGY62 curtain walling system. This helps speed up the fabrication process as no additional tooling is required and therefore no additional set up costs are incurred by the fabricator.

“Our Dualframe 75 Si range was first launched in 2009 and marked a new generation of products that offered high thermal performance,” said Mark Robinson, Technical Director at Sapa Building System. “The reversible and pivot windows offer greater flexibility as part of the range, giving customers more choice. Both achieve an A+ WER and low U-values (1.3 W/m²k for pivot and 1.4W/m²k for reversible) using standard double glazed units.”

Advanced polyamide thermal break technology gives increased thermal efficiency without the need for costly additional filling materials such as foams. The security performance of both windows meets the stringent PAS 024 requirements while both have been ‘future proofed’ and designed to be Part L 2019 compliant.

“The same frame can be used for each of the four Dualframe 75 Si windows which reduces the need to stock different frames for internal and external glazing options, reducing costs and lead times. Sapa’s existing hardware, locking systems and keeps can also still be used,” adds Robinson.

Sapa has also made enhancements to the Dualframe 75 Si range as a whole:

  • Extended leg universal frame profiles for greater flexibility in the interface with adjacent materials
  • Membrane retainer detail that locates in the bead groove on the perimeter of the frame

62mm deep box outer frame or 41mm universal frame for deeper plaster lines
