Roto is introducing a new hinge for residential doors, offering ease of installation as well as compliance with security testing standards.
DoorLine Solid 150P is the latest addition to the German brand's complete suite of products for residential doors. The new model is aimed at the market for EN certified door sets, and features patented design aspects already familiar to Roto customers.
The unique anti-lift feature provides security to homeowners and also benefits installers. The sash can be removed and re-hung easily, but vertical sash movement is restricted when the door is closed. This makes the process of toe-and-heeling easier, eliminating the need to clamp the hinge or pack out the air gap.
Roto has led the way for the industry by gaining CE Marking for its door hinges, and that includes this new model. With any hinge only being as good as its fixings, Roto has made a point of supplying bespoke screws with each hinge. These are of exactly the same specification as those used during all the CE Marking assessments, including the life cycle tests, and are designed to ensure both security and long-term reliability.
Specified for door sets with sash weights up to 110 kg, DoorLine Solid 150P is available to order in any RAL colour. Roto will be stocking the product in its standard white and dark brown shades, as well pearl gold (RAL 1036) and a new silver finish.
A key feature of the Roto hinge range is the minimal maintenance requirement, and DoorLine Solid is no exception. Its nylon bushes are designed to last a lifetime without additional lubrication. The hinges are fully adjustable in three dimensions and drilling jigs are available to assist with fast, accurate assembly.
The hinges will be sold in packs of 24 units, although fabricators will be reassured to know Roto has also created order codes for packs of spare parts, for those occasions when smaller components get lost on the shop floor.
The hinge is available in three different stack heights, covering the sash overlap heights of all the major door profiles. Optional packers are also available.
