ROBINSON WILLEY ANNOUNCES GAS SAFETY WEEK SUPPORT

Robinson Willey has pledged its support of the first ever Gas Safety Week, due to be staged 12th - 18th September 2011 by Gas Safe Register. Echoing the ethos of the campaign - ‘take care and be Gas Safe’ - the leading gas fire manufacturer will be targeting both local and regional press with a campaign to educate and encourage homeowners to take positive steps to make sure their gas fire is ‘Gas Safe’.

Sales & Marketing Manager at Robinson Willey, Tracey Falshaw, explains: “As a pioneer of gas fire safety within the industry, naturally we are staunch supporters of any campaign that is designed to raise awareness of gas safety in the home.”

“Many homeowners are still unaware that the Gas Safe Register replaced CORGI and that it is the only official list of gas engineers who are legally allowed to work on their gas appliances. Likewise, many remain ignorant to the fact that they must have an annual gas safety check and are unaware of the benefits of regular servicing, so an educational campaign is a must.”

Tracey adds: “Our press campaign will reinforce these messages as well assuring homeowners that all RW fires feature the ‘Safeguard’ safety system - an automatic cut-out device that switches the fire off in the event of a blocked flue or inadequate ventilation.

Robinson Willey’s press campaign will be timed to coincide with Gas Safety Week and will target local and regional press with both PR and promotional material. The campaign will echo national advertising and promotions scheduled to run across the whole country, with organisations both small and large getting involved. Gas Safe Register itself will be holding events, distributing literature and spreading the gas safety message as wide as possible in advance of the forthcoming winter season.
