Richard Burbidge has launched Taper, a new range of stair parts that offers a contemporary twist on traditional stair design.
The Taper range includes newels, baserails, handrails and spindles, all crafted in solid white oak to ensure they will stay looking good for many years to come. The slimline spindles offer a sleek, alternative design, while maintaining the traditional shape that end-users are accustomed to.
The range has been designed to be as simple to fit as possible. The handrails are pre-drilled, the rake spindles are pre-cut and all components connect with brackets. This enables contractors to offer customers a bespoke and affordable look that is quick and easy to achieve.
Planning the design and purchasing the parts has also been made simpler thanks to the introduction of Richard Burbidge’s online ‘Stair Project’ tool. This allows contractors to work with customers to create the perfect staircase, leading to a hassle-free installation process.
Josh Burbidge, commercial director at Richard Burbidge, said, “When investing in new stair parts customers want choice. This is why we have invested heavily in product development over recent years, introducing a wide range of unique and contemporary components to meet consumers’ changing tastes.
“However, despite the demand for more contemporary designs there is a need in the market for something that is traditional, but with subtle modern finishes. This is why we have launched Taper, which combines classic elegance with up-to-the-minute styling. The ideal product for contractors, it is easy to fit and will allow them to meet the most discerning customers’ demands.”
As well as product development, Richard Burbidge has also updated its website, making it a valuable resource for both you and your customer. The dedicated trade website allows you to download the technical and component information, while the consumer website provides your customer with all the inspiration they need to select their staircase.
