Glass Frame Tube system places glass in front of – rather than in between – the baluster posts.
Q-railing, manufacturer and distributor of an extensive line of architectural railing systems, does everything possible to ensure that installation on site is as fast and easy as possible. The company’s new Glass Frame Tube is such a development, enabling glass in-fills to be installed exceptionally quickly.
“What we’ve done is create a simple installation process that places the glass in front of the baluster posts, rather than in between the posts or in a base shoe,” explains Erik Blanik, Product Manager. “This means that the length of the glass pieces need not be dictated by the distance between two baluster posts. Longer lengths of glass can be used, further reducing the installation time.”
How it Works
The Glass Frame Tube system has three main components: the Glass Frame Tube, a rubber track piece and brackets that fit onto baluster posts. To install, the rubber track piece is placed over the edge of the glass infill, the Glass Frame Tube is placed over that, and the whole thing (infill and frame) is simply clamped between the brackets, which are held in place by screws.
Appropriate for All Types of Railing
Q-railing’s Glass Frame Tube can be used for all types of railings, balustrades or stairs – regardless of their design. It is available for use with glass of any height and width, in thicknesses between 8 and 10.76 mm (including the company’s own Q-glass, which is available in over 12 standard sizes). All components are in stock and available for immediate shipment.
