Pipe Center, the UK’s leading heating supplier, has added commercial sanitary ware to its offering as part of a total support package for contractors.
The supplier has teamed up with leading manufacturer Ideal Standard and contractor Lend Lease to introduce a comprehensive range of sanitary ware for installation in commercial and public buildings.
Pipe Center is already supplying systems for hospitals, as part of ongoing supply contracts. In addition to sluice rooms it is also supplying sanitary ware and fittings for wards and other areas.
The company is also supplying baths, showers, toilets, taps and waste systems for a major regeneration project being carried out by Lend Lease on flats at the Elephant and Castle in London. All equipment is from the Ideal Standard and Armitage Shanks ranges.
Andy McEwan, commercial director of Pipe Center and Climate Center, says: “The addition of sanitary ware alongside our existing M&E range means that we can now supply installers with a complete range of equipment and accessories for major projects.
“It offers significant advantages in terms of logistics, and streamlines the whole process of getting the right materials on site at the right time.”
The global market for sanitary ware is forecast to grow from $22bn in 2011 to $33bn by 2016, with sales in Europe predicted to increase by 21per cent. In the UK, however, growth is predicted to be lower, due to lower levels of refurbishment and new build activity.

Our expanded range and related technical support helps contractors deliver for clients, and improve the efficiency of their own business in the process.
