Staff at GlassGuard®, Europe’s largest manufacturer of fragment retention lamp coatings, took part in a five-a-side football tournament to help raise much needed funds for a local charity.
The annual event, organised by recruitment specialists Jark plc, took place at Norwich City Football Club and raised over £6,000 for the Norfolk and Norwich Association for the Blind (NNAB).
GlassGuard® battled it out with 15 other local businesses on the Carrow Road pitch with touchline support coming from former Canary legends such as Jeremy Goss, Bryan Gunn, Darren Huckerby, Rob Newman and Dean Ashton. The competition was eventually won by Norfolk Ceilings.
GlassGuard® Marketing Manager Stewart Damonsing says: “We are pleased to be supporting a worthy cause such as the NNAB. We all had a great time at Carrow Road and the money raised will go towards buying much needed equipment and services for local blind and partially sighted people.”
