Hanson Formpave, a leading UK manufacturer of specialist concrete paving products, has today announced the appointment of its new managing director, Matthew Clay.
Following the formation of a new Design Solutions division by Hanson Plc., Matthew is replacing former Hanson Formpave MD, Brian Garrett, in an extended role as managing director of the new division, comprising Hanson Formpave; natural stone supplier, Hanson Bath & Portland Stone; and bespoke concrete manufacturers, Hanson Floors and Precast.
Matthew has been part of the Hanson UK team for 6 years, most recently in the role of IT director. Previously, Matthew has had a successful 17-year career both in IT and as an Engineer in MITIE, FirstGroup, MANWEB, Siemens and GEC.
Talking of his appointment and what the new Design Solutions division means to Hanson Formpave, Matthew Clay commented: “My appointment and the creation of Design Solutions marks the start of a new and exciting era for Hanson Formpave. The paving product specialist has also strengthened its regional sales team with the appointment of Chris Seward, responsible for South Wales and the West Midlands, and Chris Hubbard, focussed on the South West.
Gerry Feenan, former managing director of Hanson Floors and Precast, will be supporting Matthew in his new role as commercial director of Design Solutions.
