Komfort’s double glazed Polar partitioning and new 44mm double glazed doors have been installed at a unique office space known as the Business and Community Hub at the Freeman Street Market in Grimsby, Lincolnshire.
The systems work to optimise acoustics, whilst letting light flow through the modern office space.
Opened in January 2014, the new ‘digital hub’ houses a large meeting room and adaptable conference facilities to provide a professional space for meetings, seminars, interviews, workshops, and community inclusive events.
Komfort’s Polar double glazed partitions were used to front the office and breakout spaces at the hub. The polar system partitioning system offers a faster installation with fewer components, without compromising on strength and rigidity; it also offers an acoustic performance of up to 49dB (Rw). A unique feature of the Komfort Polar partitioning system is the patented Bubble Joint eliminates the need for silicone and achieves a slim minimalist appearance, giving a near seamless look.

To complement the partitioning system, full height 44mm Komfort double glazed doors, offering up to 38dB were integrated into the seamless office design, allowing light to flood through the workplace to create an atmosphere of space. Komfort also provided a series of bespoke manifestations to the partitions and doors offering flexibility on privacy, with various films providing different levels of discretion.
