NEW CARE SECTOR SHOWERING SOLUTIONS CPD COURSE FROM REDRING

Redring, a leading manufacturer of showering and hot water solutions, has launched a new CPD course aimed at those specifying showers in the care sector.

The course outlines relevant legislation and regulations, including Part G of the Building Regulations. Participants will also learn about the dangers of scalding and the long-term effects an incident can have, particularly on those in vulnerable groups such as the elderly.

The CPD then focuses on the best industry solutions to address this issue, concentrating primarily on the benefits of thermostatic showers. This type of technology, featured in showers such as Redring’s Selectronic Premier, offers a number of advantages within the care sector, including the ability to maintain a constant temperature.

Adding to the sections on legislation, the CPD highlights the approvals that specifiers should look out for when selecting products. These approvals demonstrate that the highest standards in product design and manufacturing have been achieved. Specific approvals for the care sector include the British Electrotechnical Approvals Board (BEAB) Care mark, which for electric showers is awarded to those that prevent hot water scalding and provide safe water temperatures.

For more information on the CPD course, visit www.redring.co.uk or call 0844 372 7750. Detailed product information, including the RNIB and BEAB Care approved Selectronic Premier, can also be found on Redring’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/redring.solutions.
