Two of the North East’s top architectural firms, Hopper Howe Sadler and Reid Jubb Brown have merged to form a new company.
The new business, to be known as Sadler Brown Architecture, combines an impressive, award winning track record of regeneration and development by each firm.
Reid Jubb Brown recently undertook the re-design of the Haymarket Hub and Metro Station and is currently working on a family home in Northumberland which is being filmed by Channel 4’s Grand Designs. Directors at Hopper Howe Sadler designed the award winning i6 Charlotte Square just off Westgate Road and oversaw the conversion and restoration of the listed Turnbull Building.
Director at Sadler Brown, Kevin Brown said: “The Merger will make Sadler Brown Architecture one of the region’s larger and most awarded architectural firms. We will have over ten award winning architects working out of our Newcastle offices and a support team which doubles that number.”
The new business also has a partner firm, Bowker Sadler Partnership in Manchester.
Director Christine Howe added: “Our relationship with Bowker Sadler Partnership gives us access to new markets like urban regeneration and social housing, whilst at the same time being able to draw upon the resources of a further team of architects and support staff. It means we are now easily able to handle multi-million pound projects.”
Marketing and public relations consultancy Karol Marketing, has been retained to shape the new Sadler Brown Architecture branding and develop a public relations strategy that retains and conveys the individual brand values of the two incumbent businesses, Hopper Howe Saddler and Reid Jubb Brown.
Stefan Lepkowski, managing director at Karol Marketing, said: “We have come up with a clever tick box branding concept that illustrates the depth of talent imbedded within each firm and also communicates the inspirational contribution each director makes to any project.
“Working for a creative firm like Sadler Brown Architecture is like being a kid in a sweet shop. They have so many exciting projects on the go that it is difficult to know which one to start talking about first.”
