Marshalls, the UK’s leading hard landscaping manufacturer, has once again celebrated excellence in hard landscaping design and installation at its annual Marshalls Register Awards last week.
The national awards covers a range of categories from ‘Best Driveway Transformation’ to ‘Best Use of Marshalls Fairstone’, with this year’s awards attracting over 600 project submissions from its over 1,000 strong associated member companies from all around the UK.
The event culminated in the presentation of a brand new Toyota Hilux Double Cab to the ‘Marshalls Register Contractor of the Year 2012’. This year’s award winner was Joe Curtis, owner of Evergreen Services based in Tollesbury, Essex, for his garden transformation project which used a variety of Fairstone products. On the night Evergreen was also presented with the award for ‘Best Project by a New Register Member’, which placed them in the running for the top prize.
David Jessop, Operations Manager Marshalls Register, said: “I couldn’t be more thrilled for Joe. The quality, design and use of materials on this project, as with all his projects, were simply superb. Joe and his team are an excellent example of the quality of work and professionalism you can expect from a Marshalls Register Member.”
David concluded: “I would also like to take this opportunity to congratulate all the other award winning Register Members, the standard this year was exceptionally high with a large number of outstanding entries, well done everyone and keep up the good work.”
Joe said: “I’m in shock, I can’t believe it! I honestly couldn’t be any more proud. These awards are incredibly prestigious and to walk away with the top prize tonight when there are so many talented people in this room is amazing. This will mean a huge amount to my business and the new truck is the icing on the cake! Thank you Marshalls.”

The Awards were launched by Marshalls in 2008 to its Marshalls Register of Approved Landscape Contractors and Driveway Installers. Potential Marshalls Register members must undergo a rigorous assessment and fulfil a range of criteria to be able to join the list of approved installers.
