Proving to be a real success and popular choice for specifiers, Alutec, the UK’s leading aluminium rainwater system manufacturer, has extended its Tudor downpipe range to include a new 76mm pipe for high flow rate applications.
Alutec’s Tudor downpipe is the ultimate rainwater solution for heritage and period style properties, and has been designed to offer a lightweight and more cost effective alternative to traditional cast iron rainwater systems.
The Tudor downpipe range is available in 21 standard colours, including the uniquely textured Heritage Black polyester powder coating, which delivers a classic look without the associated maintenance and installation costs.
What’s more it is also compatible with Alutec’s Traditional range of aluminium gutter systems, which accurately replicate the popular British Standard cast iron gutters. Alutec’s Traditional gutter system is available in a variety of profiles including Half Round, Victorian Ogee and Moulded Ogee.

Like all of Alutec’s aluminium rainwater systems, the Tudor downpipe is manufactured in accordance with the appropriate British standards including BS 8530:2010. What’s more, as all products are manufactured from marine grade aluminium, they are impervious to corrosion and virtually no maintenance is required throughout their exceptionally long life expectancy of 50 years or more.
Additionally, aluminium is 65 per cent lighter than cast iron, making it easier to handle on site, whilst boasting excellent environmental credentials. Aluminium can be recycled again and again without loss of quality – in fact 75 per cent of all aluminium ever produced is still in use today.
