Pierlite UK, part of the Gerard Lighting Group (GLG), one of the world’s leading lighting manufacturers is pleased to announce the Group’s recent acquisition of Nimbus Lighting Group Ltd.
Nimbus is recognised by its brand name DOT, which is considered to be one of the largest designer, developer and manufacturers of commercial downlights in the world.
This acquisition will ensure customers in the UK will have better access to the various DOT product ranges, which includes the innovative, dimmable LED downlight series offering energy efficiency without compromising lighting performance.
Pierlite and Nimbus are just two leading lighting brands within GLG, others include the well-known Crompton lighting, Sylvania and Moonlighting brands. Established in 1920 with the original “Clips All” range of adjustable conduit fittings, the Group has always been at the forefront of lighting innovation.
Today, with operations across Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Australia and New Zealand GLG continues to invest in research and development to push the design and innovation boundaries to develop new lighting solutions. With lighting accounting for 19% of global electricity consumption, the Group focus is on improving performance and delivering energy saving lighting options for clients.
The acquisition of Nimbus will assist in positioning GLG as one of the dominant forces in the global lighting market.
