Leading manufacturer of PVC windows and thermal composite doors, The Litchfield Group, has launched a high performance reversible window profile series, with a 0.8 W/m2K U-Value.
The Sheerframe 8000 Reversible offers industry leading thermal performance and energy efficiency.
The windows are compatible all levels of the Code for Sustainable Homes up to an including Level 6 and provide an easy solution for meeting Part B of Building Regulations for escaping and evacuating, thanks to its efficient reversible operating system.
Featuring a highly efficient five-chambered profile system for improved insulation and strength, the PVC profiles minimise heat loss through the frame. Sheerframe’s innovative Thermlock reinforcement, a recycled PVC structural foam insert in the centre chamber, significantly increases thermal performance over steel and aluminium, and is also 35% stronger than aluminium on deflection strength, providing greater integrity and window security.
The Sheerframe 8000 Reversible is designed with an innovative interchangeable bead system of 28mm, 36mm and 44mm to accommodate either double or triple glazing. Furthermore, the window features twin seals to promote air tightness and weather resistance.
As well as being internally glazed for increased security and ease of replacing glass, the Sheerframe 8000 Reversible system is ideal for high-rise flats and tower block buildings as it is easy to clean and maintain with its reversing mechanism. The range features shaped profiles to accommodate different tastes and is available in white PVC or a variety of wood grain colours including Oak, Rosewood and Anthracite Grey.
