The Litchfield Group has completed the relocation of its Masterdor bespoke door division from its former Knaresborough base in North Yorkshire to the group’s Derwent manufacturing facility in Derbyshire.
The transfer of Masterdor’s technical and sales operations is the final stage of the relocation process, which has been taking place over the last four years; with the Masterdor manufacturing operation having previously been transferred to Derbyshire in 2008.
The completion of the Masterdor relocation means that the group’s external door division is now fully established alongside the Litchfield Group’s Sheerframe PVC windows operation.
Commenting on the completion of the move Graham Nield, Group Sales and Marketing Director said: “It makes absolute sense to have both the Sheerframe and Masterdor divisions operating fully from our Derbyshire plants. Already this has paid dividends from a manufacturing point of view and we expect further benefits with the whole team together.
"We’ve been able to retain key technical and sales personnel from Masterdor and integrating their skills and knowledge within the group means we have a formidable team behind our windows and doors proposition.
“We have got some ambitious plans for the two brands going forward and have been investing heavily in product development, which will see the launch of a range of exciting new products over the next 12-18 months.”
Alongside the alignment of the two brands, The Litchfield Group is undertaking a group-wide rebranding exercise to unify the corporate image of the group and its various operating divisions.
